We continually collect history of the Kinetic Sculpture Races as well as reproducing original documents with permission of the original authors. Material will be added as time permits. Keep coming back - this section continually expands.
  • 1999-2007 Race Results
Some years the record keeping was better than others, but at least this version has the correct years and annual dates and - as far as we know - the sculpture names are correct.

  • A 1988 Race Brochure
which gives a sprightly history of the race to that point as well as outlines the course and gives spectator guidelines many of which are now incredibly out of date.
  • Earliest Sculptures and Pilots
A list of all entrants and their sculpture names from 1965 to 1969.

  • "Crazy Contraptions"
The first third of a rare book outlining the earliest days of the Kinetic Sculpture Race, reprinted with permission of the author, noted metal sculptor, Stan Bennett.
